This demonstration program runs on Windows XP, 2000 and NT. It was built on 28th September 2005 using CartoType revision 187.

Install the demo by creating a directory with a suitable name - like c:\cartotype - on your computer and unzipping windows_demo.zip into it. You then need to download one or more map files from here before you can run the program.
The program is a self-contained Windows application, statically linked with the MFC (Microsoft Foundation Classes) and CartoType libraries.
The Windows demo now comes with four sample style sheets and a View menu item allowing you to choose the style sheet. Each window can be displayed using a different style sheet. To view the same map in two different styles, open a new window on an existing map using 'New Window', then choose a different style sheet.
