To install
Download one of the two CAB (installation) files using one of the links above.
Connect your Windows Mobile device to your desktop computer. Use Microsoft ActiveSync to copy the .CAB file on to the device. Copy it into the My Documents folder on the device.
Using your device, navigate to the CAB file using File Explorer and run it. Answer 'Yes' to the question about installing a program from an unknown publisher.
To run
The program is installed in the folder My Device\Program Files\CartoType. Click on the CartoTypeDemo icon to run the program, then select Open Map.. from the menu to open a map. A map of Berlin is supplied as a sample.
Apart from the menu commands, you can zoom in by pressing the joystick or rolling ball. You can pan by clicking and dragging the map.
The command 'Open online data..' tells the program to use vector data from the CloudMade server instead of local data.
