CartoType version 1.0 created

For reasons of stability and maintainability we have moved to a new system of version branches. The C++ source code has been branched at revision 1381, and this is called version 1.0. New development continues on the trunk, while branches receive bug fixes only. We'll be making new branches... Find out more...

Now runs on the iPhone and Android platforms

CartoType now runs on the iPhone and Android platforms. Both versions use the standard unchanged C++ source code with wrappers to connect them to the native languages of the platform: Objective C on iPhone and Java on Android.
