Introduction

CartoType is a portable library for drawing maps, geocoding, calculating routes and providing navigation instructions. It uses map files created using the makemap tool supplied with the package.

The UWP API

The UWP API gives you access to CartoType functionality from UWP applications written in C#, VB.NET and C++.

CartoType.Framework is the most important class. An application can create a single Framework object and use it to create and manage a map. It provides access to everything you need, including map drawing, geocoding, searching, routing and navigation.
